Our Bloody Revolution

Back in 2016, two Religious Studies teachers in Accrington stumbled upon the Holy Grail of edtech - Google for Education. It was a bloody revelation! Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Ben & Dan, over the hills in Leeds, another bearded visionary was cooking up his own tech storm.

Fast forward a bit, and we're certified Google trainers, hosting our first podcast. We thought we were the dog's bollocks, talking about fancy tech and whatnot. Little did we know, we were about to light the fuse on an education revolution! (Well, our own little version of one in the north of England anyhow...) We called this podcast 'In The Studio with The EduTech Project' - catchy name right? Those episodes are still out there somehow - we both had more hair back then.

2018 rolls around, and we decide to throw a shindig - The EduTech Summit. Turns out, we weren't the only ones itching for change. Educators from all over showed up, hungry for a taste of the future. That's where we met Steve, the bearded wonder from Leeds. It was love at first sight (or at least, beard at first sight).

Now, we're not just yapping about tech anymore. We're diving deep into the future of education, unearthing schools that are giving the middle finger to the status quo. Colleges that are actually preparing kids for a world that doesn't exist yet. It was 'You only get what you give' kind of New Radical.

We rebranded as Edufuturists because, let's face it, we're not just talking about the future - we're damn well creating it.

2019 saw Steve officially join the gang (the beard sealed the deal), and we launched the Edufuturists Awards. Because if you're going to start a revolution, you might as well hand out some trophies along the way.

The 2020 online awards? We smashed it! We had education revolutionaries zooming in from every corner of the globe. Now we're the go-to rabble-rousers for bigwigs like C-Learning and Google for Education. Why? Because we don't just talk the talk, we walk the freakin' walk.

In December 2023, our mate Dan had to step back to focus on his AI shenanigans. It was a tough pill to swallow, but the show must go on! Ben & Steve are still holding the fort, keeping the podcast and events firing on all cylinders. Every week, we are still at it, podcasting our hearts out with the world's most badass education innovators. Why do we keep banging on? Because parts of our education system are as stale as last week's chips, and we're here to shake things up.

Fast forward to now, and we're still stirring the pot. Weekly podcasts, events, training - you name it, we're doing it. Why? Because parts of our education system are as outdated as a Nokia 3310, and it's time for an upgrade. Not just hardware or iOs either. A full-scale, new way of being. We're not after evolution, we're after a full-blown revolution! We're talking innovation that'll make your head spin, a vision that'll knock your socks off. We're building an army of lifelong learners, armed to the teeth with skills to create, collaborate, think critically, and communicate in a world that's moving faster than Usain Bolt on 'phet.
