Celebrating Those Making It Happen
For the last six years, we have held annual awards to champion where we are on the way to where we are going.
Awards Done Differently
No Bowties or Ballgowns Necessary (unless you want to!)
We are committed to building a very different education future and do this through a healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo. But…there are loads of incredible educators, organisations and teams who are already pushing the needle to help make this happen - our awards celebrate these pioneers.
Get Involved in 2025
We are going bigger and better this year. Join the Uprising!
An event for those who know it can be better.
An evening of friendship, ideas and affinity. An Uprising of the Unreasonable. A Gathering to champion others and plan our next steps.
Community
Coming together to champion those who are doing better, who are leading the way
Ideas
We are better together - the strength of the wolf is the pack.
Winners’ Spotlight
Each year, a group of prestigious judges, along with a public vote, decide on our worthy winners. Nominations open at the beginning of the year and we get entrants from across the education spectrum. In 2024, we had over 1000 nominations and more than 11000 votes.
Our previous winners include Hole in the Wall pioneer Sugata Mitra (Outstanding Achievement 2022), Bob Harrison, FE stalwart and EdTech pioneer (Outstanding Achievement 2023), and Valerie Hannon (2021) for her commitment to thriving.
Our first winner of the Outstanding Achievement award, David Price OBE, passed away in 2024 and with his family’s blessing, we have renamed the award in his honour, as he made such an impression on all of us in the Edufuturists community.
We have celebrated winners from all around the world: author of bestselling The Learning Game, Ana Fabrega (International Award 2022), Oberoi International School, Mumbai (2021), a leading IB school in India and 2020’s exceptional international organisation, IB Madrid, who impressed the judges with their WOW Wall.
The awards celebrate individuals and organisations who are making a difference - IT Professionals like Dave Leonard (2019 & 2021) or schools, colleges and universities that create an environment where learners can develop future skills, like University of Central Lancashire (2020 & 2023), Oldham College (2021) or XP School (2020).
